- Peta Borck (PetaB) Added February 08, 2024★ ★ ★ ★ ★Wanted a simple, not too sweet cake for my sons 1st birthday. After calling a few places I tried The Ginger Jar. I explained that my baby doesn't really like cake and the only cake he eats is a “sugarless” banana muffin that I make at home (only using bananas for flavour). The chef suggested a hummingbird cake and said he could make it not too sweet, and use fresh cream rather than icing.
Well the cake was a hit. My son loved it and the the rest of the family said it was one of the nicest cakes they’d ever had. Not too sweet or heavy.

The sponge cake was delicious and light and was made with fresh cream. I will definitely be back! The staff were so friendly and helpful to order with. Cutting into the cake to find out our baby’s gender was so much fun…and yummy!

I bought a coffee in every other cafe in this town & had given up, Then I seen this little gem of a cafe tucked away & gave Nowra one last shot to redeem it had a half decent coffee shop going for itself...
Well I was not disappointed!!
Seriously in every way from the coffee brew, Selection of delicacies of yumminesss to the customer service.
I can not fault this place! These Guys are Amazing friendly & genuine.
Such a blessing & pleasant experience everytime.
